This makes me so very sad.

This makes me so very sad. Wilder, while not producing anything recently due to health problems, was a ridiculously talented performer. There will never be a better Willy Wonka, for example, and his comic timing was impeccable. Thank you, sir, for making the world a funnier place.

Mihai Marius Mihu is one of my favorite builders, best known for his beautifully creepy surrealist nightmares, and I’m still not convinced he’s not Guillermo del Toro’s LEGO builder alter ego. However, this latest creation seems to channel a bit of H.R…

NASA Analysis Finds July 2016 is Warmest on Record

July 2016 was the warmest July in 136 years of modern record-keeping, according to a monthly analysis of global temperatures by scientists at NASA’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS) in New York. Because the seasonal temperature cycle peaks in July, it means July 2016 also was warmer than any other month on record. July 2016’s temperature was a statistically small 0.1 degrees Celsius warmer than previous warm Julys in 2015, 2011 and 2009.

It's pretty sad that we have to hide a "critique" of religion by slathering it with bawdy humour.
It's even more sad when religulous sites like MovieGuide actually still think gay sex is immoral and are fucked up enough to actually put that in writing.

I started reading "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" to my 8-yo son tonight (he could read it himself, but this way we all get to experience it together). It's definitely different reading it in play form -- the dialog format doesn't lend itself to oratorical reading nearly as easily as a traditional novel does. But, so far, it's pretty delightful.
