The American Geophysical Union, which represents some 60,000 scientists who study the Earth, is ready with an explanation of the cause [of climate change] now. Arguably, there is no other group of scientists more attuned to what the planet is doing. This week, the group issued a two-page statement with the headline: "Humanity is the major influence on the global climate change observed over the past 50 years." It added, "Human-induced climate change requires urgent action."

Thank you, Lego, for letting me simply tell you online which parts were missing from the boy's Christmas present and sending them to me,...
I still don't understand how people can question this. I mean, how much evidence does it take for them to face the truth?
ReplyDeletePatrik Hanson the people that fight this are not interested in evidence or logic if it conflicts with their feelings, ideology, or the lies their puppet masters have told them.
ReplyDeleteYeah cut Co2 and the trees start dying(it's plant food ffs), this is a natural process, most other planets do this aswell.
ReplyDeleteThere are trees on other planets? Gareth Price What part of carbon added by human activity are you having the most difficulty accepting?
ReplyDeleteRemember - there is no alternate explanation for the impact that human generated CO2 is having on our climate.
I'm refering to the warming not necessarily plant life Leo McDevitt , your much more educated on this subject than me so I won't dare try and be clever and out witt you in any way Leo, I just read about other explanations on the subject recently (I should have chose my words more carefully, sorry leo).
ReplyDeleteGareth Price - Then where did trees and plants got their "food" from 500 years ago? How are my houseplants still being alive? Ask Jesus. He might have the answers... or not.
ReplyDeleteRain?
ReplyDeleteNo worries Gareth Price My primary concern here is to stop the spread of disinformation about climate science. Failure to take corrective action is causing super-storms, droughts, and rising tides. We can't actually afford to debate the subject, the science is settled, we need to act - NOW.
ReplyDeleteIt is my intention to stop the disinformation campaign by ensuring science is given it's proper weight of authority in the matter.
Fully agree with you there Leo. Change is essential here not blame
ReplyDeleteErik Orgell Who is this "we" you are talking about. And I don't ask this rhetorically. Knowing who is denying manmade climate change is going to be key to fixing this.
ReplyDeleteThe "who" on the other side is easy to detect, but very hard to pin down.
So the Koch Brothers ultimately?
ReplyDeleteSorry Erik Orgell To use you as the launch point, but from the debate pov, this argument is continuing because the other side is trying to hide. And there is a reluctance to shine the light on their motives as opposed to hitting them with facts.
