#Soylent update: Three conclusions so far...
1. Mixing in a little chocolate syrup makes it reasonably yummy.
2. Giving a new batch a few hours in the fridge to fully dissolve all the mix's components makes it smoother. Not perfectly smooth, like a milkshake, but the solids are less prominent.
3. It's really filling. 15 ounces, which is about 450 calories, makes me feel quite full and I don't seem to get hungry again nearly as quickly as I normally do.

Are you drinking the 1.4? How do you like it? I read many customers were happy with 1.4 and now can't stand it.
ReplyDeleteI'd wonder about mixing chocolate in because of the pharmacology of the theobromine, I imagine it's interact with the other components of the cocktail. I wonder what effect mixing it and waiting has on the chelated components. Matthew J Price I am drinking 1.4. I didn't try 1.3, so can't compare it. It's not bad. I wouldn't want to eat nothing but it.... I think I'd tire of it pretty quickly. But as one meal a day, I don't really mind it. II like the fact that I can feel quite full on only 400-600 calories while knowing that I'm eating healthfully.
ReplyDeletehow is the cost per meal?
ReplyDeleteRay of Sunshine some people might hate it while others would find it delicious, so generalizing for taste is silly. That said, I find it neutral...i don't love it and I don't hate it. It's a lot like plain instant oatmeal...mostly inoffensive.
