  2. Except there isn't really much question about that.

  3. :-D I just read a comments thread like that under an article about Exxon knowing about the greenhouse effect back in the 70s or earlier. That thread was exactly like this, except the participants in this gif are probably way cuter.

  5. Very true climate change is another way of contolling the masses like religion !

  6. Jack Wood I'm religious tho... although some cults are specifically designed for that purpose...
    nice to meet you btw

  7. Nicolai von Hirsch You realie that to insult me, I have to value your opinion.
    Good try, though,

  8. Craig Froehle I think you just created Froehle's Law... Like Lewis' Law but for climate change.

  10. Christopher DH The question of "if it's manmade" has been settled a LONG time ago... It's not the sun, it's not the core of the planet. So where else do you think it's coming from?

  12. I'm coming around to the view that this is like ANY discussion on Google+.

  13. Paul .Jamison
Any discussion anywhere except for with people who are rational.

  14. Paul .Jamison Because G started out with people who are very "science literate". Programmers, scientists, professors etc They only invited the elite of the net. Google then integrates it w/ Android & thankfully no one notices. G+ comes out of beta & after a year of feedback, reporting glitches, bugs, etc, it's ready & it keeps growing. G starts adding more & more "people"... Integrating youtube profiles etc. People start leaving Facebook all together so some invite family, co-workers etc. ok fine. Eventually people are now catching on that the cool people aren't on Facebook anymore & they're just entertaining each other.  So just like when we left Friendster for MySpace & you couldn't figure out how to plug your computer in, left MySpace for Facebook finally could figure out how to log on because we took away your dial up & have now left Facebook... You're here with wifi. But guess what? There's already a entrenched culture of professional educated users. Now that you're here there's no reason to let you "debate" proven fact. You can go back to Facebook or Twitter or the reincarnation of MySpace & be happy. Facts do not care what you "think", If I shove you off a cliff you can debate gravity with yourself all the way down... The fall won't kill you... Gravity won't kill you... It's the sudden stop at the end. I've already read various articles about how educated people aren't taking time to explain things to those less fortunate anymore. Since I'm feeling gracious & have gone this far let me explain... You're going to have to learn some basic things if you plan to survive on your own. If you refuse to learn, you'll be shown help files & you can dig for the answer yourself, we don't have the will, desire or patience to bother. Science is not an "option", nor is it something that stopped once you finished high school & seeing as you want to "debate" it only highlights your own sad ignorance. Take your beloved box of Crayola's & leave.

  15. Its hard to believe that someone can't imagine that humans play a major role in it. No other species can do what we can do artificially. Yes there is natural climate change. But at some point as our population increases and we put more gases in the air more rapidly then any natural means. How can people think we are not a major influence?

  16. What makes things interesting is that climate change crap hardly changed through the centuries as technology developed. The reason people are tripping over each other purchasing global warming insurance is that they were not shown or blatantly ignored data shown to them.

  17. 來的變化一個誰帶 You're enjoying being the dog, eh?

  18. John Phillips It's hard to believe in this day & age that people still think there's a debate to be had. The science has spoken years ago. We've only been throwing shit into the air since the beginning of the 20's globally. As economies have grown so has the demand for cars & trucks, not 1 or 2 but billions of them running for about 3 hours a day. For a long time we didn't even have emissions standards let alone filters. America is one of the most energy ignorant countries on the planet. We have the $ yet Germany beats us on solar panel use & their citizens have free electricity & electric trains to get around with. We use wind turbines sure, as if that's not a nightmare to construct & maintain.

  19. 來的變化一個誰帶 I'm voting for blatantly ignored... that's why they still wanna debate it. They haven't bothered looking for the science of it. Now That we've started melting the permafrost... Super Typhoons are nothing. Wait until it gets started...

  20. Craig Froehle you undoubtedly have more practice
Chris Nochance that is likely the case... and is behind many other issues as well such as the infamous Hilary Clinton debate.

  21. Jack Wood You put Jedi? That's really funny! I should try it :D
I wouldn't know what the Quran says, I'm not Muslim.
Some religions can get a bit out of hand.
    Take Jediism for instance.

Where the hell did all that come from?  I never said I was anti-science. I never implied that I was anti-science.

  23. I've had perfectly fine conversations about climate change on Google Plus. There are some posters who are willing to moderate their comments and delete posts by people who think that every climate change post has to be about their science denial.

Once they're gone you can have productive conversations about the actual science, what it means, and what we can do about it.

    ReplyDelete
  24. The best part: the longer an idiotic climate change denial comment is the more fun it is to delete them. ;~)

  25. Jedis have light sabres though !

  26. Zac Lowing That right there is the issue for me. Science had already proven it at 97-03 percent scientists who say it IS happening. The notion that magically 97%of the world's populace of scientists are party of a "Leftist Conspiracy" is absurd. And screaming that the 3%are right solely because they're in the minority is also absurd and self-aggrandizing. We don't need pools to cover accepted science. We need actions. And judging people based solely on their driving habits is absurd. There are dozens of things they could be doing in addition to reducing their overall impact.
