The global scourge caused by glaciers is slowly being defeated. Soon, those deceptively beautiful ice rivers will no longer pose the threat to humanity they once did, thanks to mankind's clever use of fossil fuels and aversion to manual labor.

    80-90% of glaciers turn liquid. What will be the rise in sea level from that 80-90% melting?

    I don't even want to imagine what will happen when, in addition to flooding, melting glaciers release all that trapped dihydrogen monoxide.

    Each era's advance into the next civilization brought about dramatic change. Sometimes we just don't have any control over what is happening or what is going to happen. They carry their briefcases to the table everyday. The vocanoes keep on erupting and the glaciers keep right on melting.
