There are advantages to being a country boy. For starters, we know the difference between a bee, a wasp, and yellowjacket. Bees are awesome and friendly and leave you alone unless you're just a jackass. Wasps are easily offended and will give you a swift talking to before leaving for more important matters.

Yellowjackets will fuck up your whole week.

Nothing this man in the video does is wise. Starting with "I've got wasps." No, friend, those are yellowjackets...or if you prefer, tiny yellow-striped bullets with your name all over them. They hate you. They want you to know pain and despair. They are nature's drone strikes. Abandon all hope. They are the Sideshow Bob of the animal kingdom, and we're all named Bart.

Do not be this man. This man pours soap and water in a yellowjacket nest in broad daylight while wearing flip flops.

This man has not vanquished demons. He has just cleansed them for the reckoning to come.

Interesting Note: when you smoosh a yellowjacket, it releases a pheromone that attracts other yellowjackets. Like...a lot. Smoosh one with your foot, and within a minute or so, another will come hovering over its now 2-Dimensional friend and investigate like yellowjacket FBI. Smoosh that one. Another will come zooming over soon. If you're far enough away from yellowjacket headquarters, you can kill dozens that way...assuming your bored and stupid. Stupid, because odds are you'll eventually attract too many too smoosh at once, and you'll end up covered in the yellowjacket equivalent of strongly-worded notices of complaint.

My brother once ran a push mower over a yellowjacket nest considerably larger than this one. He was covered in stings from head to toe by the time he made it back to the house, basically stripping as he sprinted. It was hilarious. If you're curious, no, he didn't see a doctor because we're from Kentucky and getting bit, stung, and spending our summers bleeding and screaming was our goddamn birthright and privilege.
