  1. Bananas are fruit.
    Fruit is good for you.
    Let the weight loss begin.

  2. I boycott Graeters until they bring back Amaretto Crunch

  3. Just add more protein through the day, so you'll eat less of other stuff. It's working for me, anyway.

  4. Craig steps on the scale,
Frowns and sets forth a new dream.
    Yet to no avail:
There's a new tasty ice cream!

    Sorry, had to. 😁

  5. Here's an idea. Find a shop, market, vendor who carries this product and that's about 3 kilometres away. Whenever you want banana chocolate chip ice cream, walk to that shop, enjoy, walk back home.

Don't forget to bring a spoon.

  6. Graeters does make it tough. Thankfully our grocery stopped carrying it. However, a recent visit from my parents has our freezer re-stocked and is seriously testing my willpower.

  7. Being skinny isn't very good for you.

  8. Patrik Hanson I should have said "trim."

  9. My trick is to be both a snob and a cheapskate. I'll only have ice cream that's really good but good ice cream is expensive and I'm too cheap to buy it frequently.

  10. Steve S My problem is that Cincinnati is the home of at least four wonderful ice cream and gelato makers, three of which have shops within walking distance of my house. It's a trap, I tell ya!

  11. Craig Froehle I know the feeling.

Besides places like Whole Foods, which carry some premium brands, I have two artisanal ice cream makers within a 10 minute drive, including an ice cream shop that's been around for 30 years.

Fortunately, both of them are just slightly out of the paths I normally take, so I've usually managed to resist.

    It is, indeed, unfair.

On a "positive" note, I've sworn off Ben & Jerry's for their support for Sanders.

  12. Craig Froehle I lost 10 pounds when I moved away from SW Ohio and gain a couple pounds every time I return. Graeters . . . a blessing and a curse!

  13. Craig Froehle I live above the best Ice cream house in North Germany, they make everything fresh each day. So it is a three sets of stairs, down and up, unless I am I'll, then I can get it delivered.

  14. Ray of Sunshine they got rid of it about 10 years ago. I can't remember what they made the crunch out of.

  15. Ray of Sunshine there is a Gelato place in Mt Lookout, an Orange Leaf by Kroger on Paxton, and that live culture yogurt place in Rookwood whose name escapes me.

But I want a whippy dip!!! Newtown is the closest

  16. Ray of Sunshine Buona Terra in Mt Lookout makes terrific gelato, and Madisono's Gelato is made in Glenview and sold in grocery stores.

Hey, I walk to Mt Lookout every once in a while...it's a nice jaunt.

  17. Ray of Sunshine I go to every sparring class they offer already!

  18. Craig Froehle Clearly, you need to up your game by seeking out bar fights.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Steve S But that would require going to bars, and that would require leaving my house, which is just absurd.

  20. Craig Froehle Which brings us to plan B: invite people over for some friendly bloodsports! Yes, you too can host your very own to-the-death cage matches in the privacy of your garage. You monetize it by streaming and gambling. Call it "Craig's Kumite: Two men enter, one man leaves". It's like having a printing press for money.

  21. Steve S you say that like any INTJ enjoys company...

  22. Steve S Anthony Barber Meh...fighting people in my own home sounds too much like weeknights with the kids. There's a reason I argue with people online instead.

  23. Craig Froehle Fine, but online battles do not build bulging biceps. Ask me how I know.

  24. Steve S you can do that stuff, too, just do some pull ups, push ups and sit ups in the morning and eat lots of protein. I'm short and pudgy but a sturdy geek, also!

  25. Anthony Barber Uh, no, that sounds too much like exercise. I don't believe in that.
