Do you enjoy board and card games? If so, and you'd like to be notified of a project I'm working on, leave a comment below with your favorite game (bot prevention...sorry) and I'll include you in a private circle to get future updates. Thanks.
p.s., Totally not my collection pictured...just a random photo courtesy of Google.
Bang! is a fun game. https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/3955/bang
ReplyDeleteMunchkin had a powerful presence in my developing gaming life, and it's still a favorite.
ReplyDeleteCar wars
ReplyDeleteMTG has always been a favorite though I rarely have time for it.
ReplyDeleteMy all time favourite board game is probably Axis and Allies. My favourite card game still is good old texas hold'em.
ReplyDeleteCount me in. I would have to say my go to game could be Settlers of Catan. Of course, someone also hoards all the sheep though.
ReplyDeleteSteve Bertolacci holy shit, haven't seen car wars in years.
ReplyDeleteMostly the classics these days. My kids' mum likes to school us in scrabble. Rummycub is family fun. My eldest is approaching 9 and she's starting to get a genuine handle on Cluedo. Her brother isn't quite there yet,but he's trying :)
My favourite card game? Hanabi (I don't know if you have that anywhere else but Germany). Board games I played too many to have a favourite.
ReplyDeleteAxis & Allies, Line in the Sand, Star Fleet Battles.
ReplyDeleteI suppose Chutes & Ladders, too, but only because I have a pretty good winning streak going on against my 7 year old.
I love almost all games, including board games. My most recent addiction is a game called Tak by James Earnest.
ReplyDeleteChess. Scrabble.
ReplyDeleteSettlers of Catan, Axis & Allies, Carcassonne, Munchkin, M:TG, Uno, Car Wars, off the top of my head.
ReplyDeleteOne of the things I do with a coworker is teach kids how to make their own tabletop or video games. One of the games we came up with while tabling at a local comic con was a board game equivalent to Valve's Portal... only we can't legally call it Portal, so I called it something like Extradimensional Holes in Space-Time. Didn't quite roll off the tongue.
Ooh! Cathedral is a fun one. Ron Howard's favorite.
ReplyDeleteLately Biblios is my go-to for small gatherings. Batman Love Letter also a perennial...
ReplyDeleteMtG and Go are probably my sober favorites, but a nice round of Coup with a modified ruleset is our usual game on party nights.
ReplyDeleteChutes and Ladders
ReplyDeleteBalderdash.
ReplyDeleteBattletech :-)
ReplyDeleteSettlers of Catan, Carcassone ... but I'm also an old Avalon Hill player, so Kingmaker, Starship Troopers, and Richtofen's War.
ReplyDeleteMy fave two player game is Morels. Favorite party games is Mysterium. Plus include me!
ReplyDeleteRed Dragon Inn, Fluxx, Killer Bunnies, Red Shirts, Ugg-Tect, Hungry Hungry Hipsters
