So it was my nephew's 12th birthday this weekend. I asked at the local Toys R Us and a few other similar stores what's popular with kids that age right now, and the answer was lego. Surprised me; I was expecting to hear about some new electronic toy (I was checking out the remote controlled BB-8). So I got him a lego gas station set, which he promptly dumped out in the middle of the carpet and started assembling, with his cousin's help, in the middle of his party.
Jim Douglas yep, our 10 and 13 year old sons are still as much into Lego as our 4 year old daughter. Partly that is down to the quality of the dialog in the Lego cartoons, which really are very funny take offs of Star Wars and martial arts movies. They work on many levels.
