ReplyDeleteI was amazed at the smooth gradients in sky backgrounds until I happened to buy a British watercolor paper with very little sizing. Boom.
ReplyDeleteThey are ridiculously talented. My wife, now deceased, worked as a tweening artist at Disney in the 1970s. She was highly skilled in virtually all media and the speed with which she could draw and sculpt never ceased to blow my mind. She tried to teach me but I just, flat, don't have the talent, at all. I'd gladly give up some other talents I have in exchange for a fraction of her artistic ability, but we don't get that choice.
