Thank you, Lego, for letting me simply tell you online which parts were missing from the boy's Christmas present and sending them to me,...
Holy crap, what does that retail for?!
ReplyDeleteI'd guess $600-1000, based on the brick counts in the larger Creator series.
ReplyDeleteAaron Wood Peter Billing It's a little less than 10 cents per brick in the larger Creator sets, so my guess is $349-$399.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking that, but the few sets I checked on were >$300 for 2000 bricks...
ReplyDeleteBut I think this in awesome idea. I need to look at how stuff like this gets built so I can make things with Audrey. A lot of the structural building styles have changed a bunch since the robin-hood-esq sets of the 80s...
Aaron Wood Big Ben is 4163 pieces and $249.99. Tower Bridge is 4295 pieces and $239.99. Sydney Opera House is 2989 pieces and $319.99, but it uses a lot of large pieces. I'm pretty confident Cinderella's Castle won't be over $400.
ReplyDelete$350
ReplyDeleteDang that's a lot. I'm not getting it then. lol
ReplyDeleteAh, but how much is the basement or home extension to put it all in? :)
ReplyDeleteCraig Froehle - Wasn't arguing, was explaining where my bad math came from. ;) I think part of the issue is that the set in question that I checked first might be out of production (fire brigade). It's on a wishlist, so easy for me to find.
ReplyDeleteMath + bad data = bad answer
Peter Billing That's an entirely different issue.
ReplyDeleteum. I agree with the idea that it would be less than 400 dollars.
ReplyDeleteEzra: where do I find this and when are they doing a Haunted Mansion one?
