I heard that "hidden" verse about the sign over and over from Pete and from Arlo. My parents took me to a lot of folk music concerts as a child.
ReplyDeleteSomewhat off topic, but I once heard Arlo say that when he was a kid he thought that "This Land is Your Land" was his family's private song. He was upset when his class sang it at his school and complained to his dad. Woody made up some new verses on the spot, which nobody else would know.
