Mr. Horiuchi takes the same approach I do: Use the tools you have rather than be forced to buy and learn new ones.
Of course, my Microsoft Office-based art -- www.DrawnInPowerpoint.com -- pales in comparison to his, at least on aesthetics.

ReplyDeleteThat's awesome! I was just making the case the other day that Excel is the greatest single program ever written. This convinces me even more.
ReplyDeleteCome to think of it, my one contribution to the world of graphic design (my band's logo) was made with Word, which has some surprisingly useful drawing tools.
They add features in Excel but they suppressed some. In Excel 97, there was a pretty advanced map tool for example.
