A tropical cyclone destroyed a significant portion of the vanilla crop in Madagascar back in March of 2017.
ReplyDeleteThis will happen with increasing frequency and to other crops (let's not forget the fires that have ravaged both Northern and Southern California).
Ah, but vanillin is easily synthesized. Chocolate is harder.
