This was my recent (not winning) entry into a local LEGO contest.
This was my recent (not winning) entry into a local LEGO contest. The theme was "Trains" and my build is of the new Cincinnati Streetcar, which is going into service this coming September. Size was limited to 15" x 15" x 12" high.
Craig Froehle I think this should have won something.......................it is VERY good and I am fairly critical of any creative application.........not to hurt someone but I am objective.
My background is design and product development..................I give you 12 outta 10.......the other entries must be off the planet!
Ded Jezter, the backdrop architecture is supposed to be just that...a backdrop. I didn't want it to take away the focus from the Streetcar. I actually built an awning for the blue building's first floor, but removed it because it looked cluttered and was distracting.
Well, I'm embarrassed to admit that I was wrong. They were late in notifying people, but my entry did win the "adult" age group (if only they knew). My son's won his age group (5-9), too. The last one, my daughter won her age group (10-14), so we've pulled off a hat trick. :-D
That is amazing! If I was the judge, I would've given u the blue ribbon!

Very nice. Amazing what people do with these small bricks.
ReplyDeleteThanks, guys. I wasn't fishing for compliments, but I appreciate them nonetheless. :-D
ReplyDeleteIt is very cool but I would have given the architecture more detail and pazazz.

ReplyDeleteI'm serious! I love it!
ReplyDeleteYou know what this scene needs? Ninjas. A showdown at the streetcar hub. The Internet needs this desperately, Craig Froehle
ReplyDeleteCraig Froehle President Business ftw :)
ReplyDeleteGood job as I am a Lego enthusiast as you!
ReplyDeleteAnthony Barber, what are you talking about? There are already 4 ninjas in that scene.
ReplyDelete;->
This is great work
ReplyDeleteI like trains. Seriously.
