The voters gave Jeb Bush the snub

The voters gave Jeb Bush the snub
He joins an embarrassing club
The bright spot is that
Because he fell flat
We won't face return of the Shrub

  1. Well, HW wasn't terrible.  W was appalling.  If he'd been more like his father he would have at least been better than any of the remaining candidates.

  2. But whatever image he was presenting, it's fair to assume that a JEB! administration would have been a continuation of his brother's presidency, staffed by exactly the same people.

  3. The fact that his campaign cost 150 million makes me nauseous

  4. Fortunate that we managed to "Stay Out The Bushes" this time, at least.

  5. Also, are we convinced W was actually that bad? Wasn't he just a pawn to Cheney? Incompetent - sure

  6. I don't know if Jeb would have been good or bad. But I definitely prefer not to have such blatant family dynasties become entrenched.

  7. I would argue that pawn to Cheney == that bad.

  8. I still have to wonder why he even bothered.  All other factors aside, there is still way too much stigma against having another Bush in office for him to have even had a chance.

  9. Are there any more Bush's hiding that I don't know about? Under the bushes perhaps? 😎

  10. Richard Taylor People who are used to their wealth opening every door will not give up that presumption easily or soon.

  11. I am sorry, but the only thing I could think of, while reading your limerick, was Mr. Snrub.

I think it's good that Jeb quit the race though.
