Interesting.

Interesting. My institution has about 45,000 students, and we feel pretty medium-sized compared to the monsters like OSU, which have closer to 65,000 students. It's all relative.

How big is a typical university (in terms of student numbers)? And what is a "small" university?

Not counting specialist institutions without significant undergraduate teaching, we arrive at a median of 20,376 students.

  1. Both are big schools, I can't imagine that many students at UCSC, the hill would explode!
